Where to begin
Parents and Carers are an important influence and support for our students.
If you are looking for how to help and support someone thinking about their career journey as a starting point you may want to consider asking them to write down and think about:
- Their career aims
- A dream job
- Aspirations for the future
- Key skills and abilities
- What are the elements they don’t like/ want to have as part of their future career?
Our careers team can provide opportunities to meet and provide impartial information, advice or guidance. This can be in person, via phone or online via a Teams meeting.
Starting College
As part of the transition to college we can offer support to new students starting with us. This can be through:
- Personalised campus tours
- Attendance at open evenings and events
- Up to date information
- Impartial information, advice or guidance

Special Educational Needs, Disability and Inclusion (SENDI)
Our vision is for students to be successful, no matter what their aims or aspirations. We want to break down the barriers which may be in place to students and support and guide them within the world of work.
All students have the opportunity to meet within the Careers Team.
Where required, we can support with individual needs or specific requirements.
We will always go the extra mile to support our students, ensuring that the highest level of personal guidance is provided.
