LMI For All

As part of the LMI for All service, we provide two widgets – Careerometer and Skillsometer. These widgets are free to use. Both widgets have been designed for young people, but can be used by others. They provide an easy way to get access to labour market information on your own website.

About LMI For All

LMI for All is an online data portal funded by the Department for Education. It brings together existing national sources of high quality labour market information (LMI) that can inform people’s choices about their careers. LMI for All includes information from key datasets from, for example, the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the Department for Education and HESA. Introduction to IAG – Overview | Rise 360

Skillsometer can help you  discover what jobs you might like to do in the future. You will be presented with a series of statements. Select the emoji shows how you feel about each statement. You will then be given suggestions of jobs linked to what you most enjoy doing. For each job, you will be presented with some headline UK data.

Careerometer can be used to explore and compare key information about occupations, help you learn about different occupations and identify potential careers. It provides access to a selection of UK headline data relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects for different occupations, as well as description of the occupation. Simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you. You can then look up another two occupations and compare. You can also select ‘display the UK average’ and compare the information with the occupation you have selected.

Enterprise Advisor – North Lindsey College

As an Enterprise Advisor, I serve as a strategic volunteer bridging the gap between education and industry. Working directly with the college’s senior leadership team, I’ve established key partnerships between the college and my connections with the local council and other businesses. This has resulted in the development of a comprehensive careers program aligned with Gatsby Benchmarks and the facilitation of industry-specific interactive workshops that reached nearly 100 students.
The role has significantly impacted both students and tutors by opening the horizons of working in a small business with enhanced career guidance, improved employer encounters, and a better understanding of labour market trends. Tutors like Zoe Slater have gained professional development through industry insights and support in embedding career education with advice like creating a portfolio of all the work they have undertaken at College, during their work placements and their interest at home to be ahead of people when competing for job placements. Moving forward, we’re focusing on expanding employer networks, developing industry-specific curriculum elements, and implementing robust tracking systems for student progression.
As a former student of North Lindsey College and Doncaster College (DN College Group), I demonstrate how my college journey led me to become Head of Legal and Senior Manager at Snapdragon Media Ltd (formerly DigitalOx Ltd) through a T-Level Work Experience Placement—all within 6 years. This success has helped us establish a foundation for mentoring programs and enhance the curriculum with industry-relevant skills, beginning with Digital students and expanding to Business students with more in the works for other sectors like Business students.

Enterprise Advisor – Doncaster College

As an EA I collaborate with the College to enhance their careers program, working closely with the SLT and Careers Leaders I look at providing strategic guidance using my business experience and networks to develop and implement robust careers strategies , facilitating employer engagement, connecting students with meaningful workplace experiences, improve career provision quality which aligning it with local economic needs and inspire students by sharing industry insights and opportunities.
I am facilitating visits to DSA to see Vulcan XH558 and get an overview of the ongoing reopening of the airport which brings a wealth of opportunities for students, delivered workshops on developing the soft skills which are so important for students to stand out from the crowd, I refer to this as their own “Personal Brand”.
I work with the local primary schools to facilitate visits into College for the children to aspire to FE/HE pathways and break the cycle of long term unemployment within families.
