There are 3 modules to the course:

Using numbers and the number system – we will cover the four main operations (adding, subtraction, multiplication and division), converting between fractions, decimals and percentages, ratio and direct and inverse proportion.

Measures, shapes and spaces – we will calculating with speed, distance, time and money, converting between measurements, properties of 2D and 3D shapes, including angles, tessellation and symmetry. We will also cover finding the area, perimeter and volume of shapes and calculating using scale drawings and maps.

Handling information and data – we will cover finding the mean, median, mode and range of a set of data, interpreting and creating graphs and charts, and probability.

There is one exam at the end of the course, covering all three modules.

An initial assessment will be conducted to ensure you are studying at the most appropriate level for you.

On completion of this Level, some learners will move into wider Further or Higher Education.
